Below
are pictures of Beavercreek Fire Department's 1986 Ladder Truck,
which was completely overhauled in 2004/2005. This is
one of two ladder trucks in the Fire Department. The truck's original
frame
and 110'
ladder are the same, but nearly all other components have been
updated or replaced. This includes:
- Updated
four door cab
- New
Chassis (Glider Kit)
- Overhauled
engine, transmission, pump, etc.
- All
controls were brought up to current NFPA and safety standards
Because
of the work, the ladder truck is being retitled as a 2004 apparatus
for the Fire Department. Total cost of the work is $355,000 - roughly
half of purchasing a new ladder truck with the same capability.
