to the Computers section of the Information Technology Division.
Beavercreek Township Fire Department uses Beavercreek Township's
private microwave wide-area-network (WAN) to connect its four
fire stations and administrative offices to the Township's server
system.
Each fire station has two computers for use by Fire Department
personnel. Software applications include EMS run report and tracking,
project & personnel management software, and Office suites.
The
Fire Administration offices utilizes 17 computers for Fire
Administration, Prevention Bureau, Fire Operations, Training
Lab, and HR/IT Departments.
In addition, an emergency bunker
within Station One can be activated within twenty four hours
for large emergencies that dictate the
use of computer equipment for logistical and planning within
an operation. Most computers within Beavercreek Fire Department are upgraded
every three to five years by Beavercreek Township's Information
Technology
Department.
